Colle di val d'Elsa is in the Tuscany heart, in such position that permit to be reached and to reach Siena (15 km), Firenze(40 km), S.Gimignano (8 km), Volterra (18 km), Pisa (70 km), Arezzo (85 km) in a short time; also the Chianti is very nearby it. |

Visiting Colle can be an amazing surprise for its beautiful civic architecture, with Medieval Village near the modern city.
Close to the "Village" and the "Castle" it were builded a mighty system of water exploitation during the Industrial Revolution. This water was coming from the Elsa river, and near the river a lot of steel and paper industries were founded, making it one of the most flourishing industrial nucleuses of Italy .
The Castle is a real terrace that ovelooks the Elsa river valley. Very interesting is the Cathedral, that guards the Christ Sacred Stud and the Arnolfo's Tower.
The heart of the modern city is the Arnolfo's Square that, with its arcades and its vitality, it is a continuous source of historical events, fairs, feasts and markets.

From the north of Italy on the A1 road, we suggest you to exit at "Firenze Certosa", and then following for " Siena ". Reached to the “Colle di val d'Elsa Nord” exit, follow for "Colle di Val d'Elsa" direction, and after about 3 km you can see Arnolfo's Square. |

From the south of Italy on the A1 road, exit recommended is "Val di Chiana", and then following for " Siena ". Nearly to " Siena ", follow " Firenze " direction. Exit to "Colle di val d'Elsa" south and then, on the right, follow for the centre of the city (about 3 km ). |
